CoAstro emerged as a research carried out in the Science Education Unit of the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto (Sciences Faculty) and in Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço – Centro de Astronomia/Astrofísica da Universidade do Porto.
Its 1st edition took place at the Porto Planetarium – Ciência Viva Center. Its main goal is, through the engagement of teachers in scientific research, to speed up the availability of results and scientific processes, in astronomy, to children (and their families).
